Partnership with Boston Children’s Hospital
The Pediatric Physicians’ Organization at Children’s is the primary care network of providers affiliated with Boston Children’s Hospital—hence our name! In our 20 years, the PPOC has cultivated a close collaborative relationship with the premier children’s hospital in the United States. Our provider members benefit greatly from this partnership, consulting regularly with subspecialists at the forefront of their pediatric specialty and getting priority referrals to care. PPOC providers are given access to Clinical Advice Lines, which offer direct access to many departments in the hospital for direct consultation with a subspecialist on call. This connection affords our patients the care and convenience of a local community pediatrician with the addition of increased access to the Boston Children’s Hospital network.
The PPOC, along with Boston Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Physicians’ Organization, is a member of the Department of Accountable Care and Clinical Integration (DACCI), which negotiates health plan contracts on behalf of all three groups.
