Chestnut Hill Pediatrics is seeking candidates for a part-time Pediatric Behavioral Health Counselor.  A Master's degree in social work or mental health counseling is required and candidates must be independently licensed to practice in Massachusetts (LICSW, LMHC).

This is a part-time position, 20 - 24 hour per week. Compensation is 65-75K per year FTE (full-time equivalents), equal to 39-45K per year for 24 hours per week.

Experience working with children, adolescents, and families is required. Experience in pediatric primary care or other pediatric medical setting is preferred. Lab Technologist

The Medical Lab Technologist will work as part of our Lab team in Woburn performing clinical laboratory procedures, including waived and moderate complexity testing, ensuring proper entry of test results into Epic (our EMR) are made available in a timely manner to the ordering and/or primary provider.

This motivated & collaborative individual possesses solid phlebotomy skills, recognizes the importance of following established policies & procedures, and has an understanding of quality control concepts, lab safety issues and general laboratory techniques.  This experienced lab professional will also provide guidance and training as needed to other lab staff.

Qualifications (Education/Experience/Credentials):

  • Bachelor’s degree and the successful completion of an accredited medical technology program or the equivalent training, education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 – 3 years of Medical Lab Technologist experience required.
  • Must possess an ASCP certification or equivalent nationally recognized medical technology certification.
  • Solid proficiency with EMR and/or practice management systems required. Prior knowledge of Epic (our current EMR) is strongly preferred.

Patient Access Representative

The Patient Access Representative is a primary point of contact for our patients/families and takes a proactive role in the efficient operations of our practice. The team members in this position are often responsible for the first impression a patient/family has of our practice – which is quite important given that we only have one chance to make a great first impression!

The proactive & collaborative professional in this 35 – 40 hrs/week role will:

  • Handle incoming phone calls, directing calls to appropriate staff.
  • Support families in scheduling patient well-visits & sick appointments.
  • Work closely with patients/families to complete required documents, case histories and forms including intake and/or insurance forms.
  • Assist patients/families post-visit by scheduling follow-up tests, procedures, diagnostic appointments, surgeries or medical consultations.
  • Receive and reroute messages or documents coming into the practice (e.g. lab results, specialist apt confirmations) to appropriate staff.
  • Retrieve phone messages and forward calls through the EMR in a timely manner.

  • Handle prescriptions, faxes & forms generated by Providers.
  • Protect the WPA’s value by keeping information secure and maintaining patient confidentiality as mandated by HIPAA regulations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school/trade school diploma or equivalent required. College education a plus.
  • Experience working with a healthcare practice or hospital & familiarity with basic medical terminology preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) system - preferably Epic - is a PLUS!
  • Strong listening, interpersonal communication and customer service skills required, as are attention to detail & excellent written communication skills.
